How to Analyze Face Shapes and Body Shapes- Learn to Dress Up in Style

While deciding on your dressing style you have to look at the combination of your body shape and your face shape. Just like your body your face shape is also divided into: Angular and Curved Shapes and based on the dominant characteristic features your dressing style can be evaluated.

Let’s first look at the characteristic features of the Angular and Curved Face Shapes:

Angular Face Shape Features:

    • Square jaw line

    • Defined Cheekbones

    • Pointed Chin

    • Straightness on sides of the face

    • Angular features

    • Straight Forehead

    • Tapered Nose

    • Chiseled Features

    • Almond shaped eyes

Curved Facial Shape Features:

Defining your body shape requires looking at your body shape from a distance. You should stand back and look at your body in a full- length mirror and observe the dominant lines of your body. Straight Body Shape

Now, you know your body shape, but the task that needs your attention is ‘dressing up according to your body shape’. You just have to follow the lines of your body while dressing up.

Clothing with straight lines may be designed with strong angles, and that refers to either well- defined shoulder, closings and hemlines in your clothing.

A soft- straight line clothing is achieved by using exterior construction lines that are soft around the necklines and straighter around the body. The other way to do so is by using straight lines with a loose unconstructed fit with a soft fabric.

A Straight- soft garment would have straighter lines around the neckline and softer lines around the body.

Curved lines would be soft and would follow the shape of the body.
